What we do

Our craft lies in creating and commercializing a new kind of film. One in which the audience can participate, discover clues, explore new narratives, and even purchase products directly from the movie.

Through the use of our application, we are able to expand the entertainment options experienced by an audience when watching a movie or show, as well as increment its economic potential through new sources of income.

The founders

Creative Director

Mariana M. Emmanuelli

Mariana is an award-winning Puerto Rican film writer and director with over 10 years of experience in the motion picture and film industry. Her work has been showcased in film festivals around the world including the Cannes Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival and Austin Film Festival, among others.

She has been presented with awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Audience Choice and Best Comedy; most notably the Prix SNCF Du Polar for her crime rom-com “Till Jail Do Us Part” in an international competition where an audience of 35,000 people voted for their favorite short film.

These experiences served as the motivation for co-founding Picaflor Entertainment in order to develop the stories and characters that moved audiences from all over the world, including the United States, Latin America, Spain, France, and India.

CEO & Producer

Gabriel Ramírez Juan, M.S., CPA

Gabriel is a Puerto Rican producer, computer programmer, accountant and finance professional using those skills to serve his passion for entertainment. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 2010, studied music with classical pianist prodigy Vera Tisheff and completed a brief mentorship with multiple grammy award winner producer Héctor Iván Rosa. Gabriel also holds a Master of Science in Interactive Technologies, where he specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality.

His roles have included serving as CFO for the SBA and MBEC award winner CGN Engineering, Corp, operating as Associate Producer and Tour Manager for the legendary NEA Jazz Master Ellis Marsalis Jr., performing as associate producer for the celebrated documentary “Jurakán: Nation in Resistance” about his home country Puerto Rico and serving as a board member for Ruta Crítica, a nonprofit incubator and accelerator for Puerto Rican cinema.

In 2018 Gabriel co-founded Picaflor Entertainment with the purpose of revolutionizing the entertainment industry with new technologies.
